Lawfulness for processing
The processing of personal data is necessary for the SSSC so you can login to the CYP Portal with your MyLearning Account, and allow you to track the progress you are making on the CYP modules.
Allowing access to this platform using your MyLearning account and having the CYP modules available helps the SSSC to assist with the training and development of the social services workforce. This is one of our statutory functions.
The SSSC is relying on Article 6(1)(e) of the General Data Protection Regulations as its lawful basis for processing this this data.
Information sharing
We share this information with the third parties who provide our information systems and process this information on our behalf.
Change of purpose
We will only use your personal data for the purposes for which we collected it, unless we reasonably consider that we need to use it for another reason that is compatible with our original purpose.
If we need to use your personal data for an unrelated purpose, we will notify you and explain the legal basis which allows us to do so.
We may process your personal data without your knowledge or consent, in compliance with GDPR, where this is required or permitted by law.
Retention
The personal information we collect through the CYP Portal will be retained until the user deletes their MyLearning account. User accounts which have not been accessed for 10 years will be deleted. Users will be informed in advance of this by email and will be given an opportunity to reactivate their account.
This is in line with our published Retention Schedule.
