This training course provides an introduction to creating self-directed play opportunities outdoors. It is ideal for both those new to children’s play and those looking to encourage more outdoor play at their setting. Even those more established in play may find they pick up some fresh ideas.
It examines some of the challenges of working with children outdoors as well as introducing practical ideas for outdoor play. The session is aimed at those working with children aged 5-12 (although many of the ideas can be adapted for younger children). The training is held outdoors.
The length is 2-3 hours depending on your needs. This course may be part of our annual training programme on a fixed date, but can be bought-in at other times. Please check our website for up-to-date information.
