Welcome to this suite of modules for Early learning and Childcare (ELC). We are hosting these modules on behalf of the Scottish Government. These modules may be relevant to other professional groups including school aged childcare.

Normally, we do not require learners to login, but due to the certificate allocation, module progress tracking and enrolment if you would like to participate in the ELC modules, we encourage you to register for SSSC Open Badges.

If you already have an SSSC MyLearning Badges account, you can get started right away.  If you don’t have one you can create an account and Register here.

Once you have done this, please goto the module you would like to enrol for and select Start now.

Sign in to the module with your SSSC MyLearning Badge details and select Register for this module.

That is all you need to do to enrol yourself and work through the ELC modules. If you get stuck or need any help, please contact

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the numerous practitioners who have lent their support to this endeavor.  We were keen to ensure practitioners have been involved and that these resources meet their needs. Understanding the user experience for the new CPL modules was vital. We are deeply committed to ensuring that the resources are well-suited for their intended purpose, and receiving feedback from practitioners was an essential part of the process. We would like to say a special thank you to the many practitioners that have been supporting this work.
