This training course provides an introduction to practical approaches that support children of all abilities and needs to participate in, and benefit from, playing. It is relevant to those working with children with a wide range of needs and in any setting.
The focus is on self-directed play opportunities, and the type of resources and adult support that enable children to play and interact. It draws on work with children aged 5-12 although much of it will be relevant to younger age groups. The training involves a mix of presentations, hands-on activities and discussions.
The length is 2-3 hours depending on your needs. This course may be part of our annual training programme on a fixed date, but can be bought-in at other times. Please check our website for up-to-date information.
